(Sapporo, Japan)
Don't be fooled by the name. They have sushi here but it's definitely not a sushi bar in the traditional sense. They have all sorts of food here such as pasta, seafood, fried food and more. Sushi Bar is more like an Izakaya (traditional Japanese restaurant).
The best thing about this place, are the 'Western' style sushi rolls. You know, the rolls that we can get in western countries where the local people think that it's real sushi. These ones are just like those. They have an excellent Rainbow roll and Avocado roll and a couple of other ones, all for around 600 yens for 6 pieces. The rolls are limited but Sushi Bar may be the only place in Sapporo where you can get real western style sushi rolls. Great, if you are craving a bit of home. The other pieces of traditional style sushi is pretty good too, but again limited in terms of choice. If you want good traditional sushi, go to a REAL sushi bar. It's the rolls that you should come for.
The rest of the food is crap. Seriously, I had this raisin butter bread and the raisin butter was rock solid, like it had just come out of the freezer. Yuck! Had one bite and then discarded the rest.
The next time I come here, I will only eat sushi and sushi rolls.
Address: South 4, West 6, Susukino. It's on the ground floor on a corner and about a 5 minute walk from Susukino subway station. You can't miss it.
