Gossip Lounge is a cool, trendy bar that's always fun and usually packed with lots of people. There are not many bars like this in Sapporo Japan where you can sit next to and meet random people, so this bar is always a good place to frequent, especially in the weekends. It usually picks up quite late though, around 10 pm, but it's open until 5 am so pace yourself with the drinking.

Gossip lounge is unique in that their payment system involves poker chips. When you enter there is a ticket machine where you pay the standard 1,600 yen. This includes admission and 500 yen worth of poker chips. What's even better is beers cost 100 yen (a little less than 2/3 of a pint). Other drinks may cost 100 yen depending on what you order. There's also bar food which are also cheap. When you have spent all your chips, simply go back to the ticket machine by the entrance and purchase more. I always end up taking chips home and then I use them the next time I go, so leave them in your jacket pocket just in case the next time your out, you fancy heading to Gossip. Oh, also if you there from 1 am, it's nomihodai (all you can drink) until closing. Beat that!

From Susukino Subway station it takes about 2 minutes on foot.
